Jamyang is in his early 20’s, a monk from a monastery in northern Sichuan. He studied thangka painting with an artist who is a friend of Kristel, but heard of the school through the monk/artist grapevine. He is very sweet and shy, very talented but with low in self-confidence. He is a 1st year student, so has 4 years to go.
